Horrible… I’m going to try to save people the time watching this movie. Good idea and seemed pretty good until the end and you try to tie it all together and then it falls apart.
Spoiler ****
No amazing surprise except for things that made no since. As soon as we see that a mastodon was run off a cliff and processed, it was apparent that some form of humans were the killer.
Oh and by the way it took a fairly large group of people to do this as the native Americans used to do in the past with buffalo and as evidence shows with mastodons as well.
Anywhoooo….
Apparently, the Neanderthals “cave people “ a mom, dad and son, created some massive diversions to kidnap a child from the new coming Homo sapiens. Somehow, knowing the child was starving. They had intent on distracting a whole group of smart Homo sapiens just to save a child that they somehow knew was starving. Even though a child at that age at that time was probably a grown ass man more or less. I mean, even in medieval times at 12 or 14 you’re pretty much grown. And would be considered a grown threat. but somehow, these Neanderthals decided to save this child who they somehow knew was starving and risk everything to save this child…. And I guess they took this child and used something to silence him immediately. Maybe chlorophyll they didn’t have chloroform at the time lol… these neanderthals are scared and frightened by the newcomers so of course they’ll go try to kidnap their kid and save him. Because somehow are able to telepathically read that he needs help.
Fast forward towards the end. The child has spent two maybe three days with the Neanderthals and now cares deeply for them. Even more so than his father. When the kid finds out his father was killed by these Neanderthals, he’s not as upset as the fact that part of his tribe has killed the Neanderthals. I mean, I guess it makes sense. I know I make the best of friends in three days and would forgo my family. Yeah, I would definitely do that. That makes sense. It’s like a child wrote this movie and directed it…. I don’t understand how they did not make the end better. Almost two different movies, beginning and end… either might have been good if it wasn’t mismatched.
It’s as if a child somehow found some interesting facts and wrote a story. This could’ve been great could’ve been done better if an adult had written it and directed it.
