I’m more of a trilogy lover. ThoughI like the characters and world in this series, this book feels like the series is just being extended at the expense of the story. The extended time between book releases means I’ve forgotten a lot of the minor characters and territories. I found Onyx Storm to have too many characters, history, and territories to keep up with. After reading the book, I find very little of this book is important to the overall storyline and feel it could’ve been accomplished in about a third of the space. Apparently there are more 2 more books expected. I think I’ll wait until all the books are published and then start from the beginning as this one was not as enjoyable due to so many players and a storyline that is being dragged out.
