Everything about this was bad. I started watching because my brother in law said it was brilliant, and because it had Jude Law and Jason Bateman, and I figured those two wouldn’t be in anything shit. I was wrong. It drives my wife insane, but I pretty much know if I’m gonna like something within about the first 30 seconds of it starting, and it’s pretty rare for me to change my mind. I see what the team behind this show were going for—dark, gritty, emotional, great characters, heavy atmosphere, a recapturing of Ozark maybe—but they didn’t pull it off. The bar now really is low.
