I'd give it a 6/10.
Definitely nice to see the character in a good mood again. Love the use of Williams' music. Mr. Terrific was great and I liked Superman's dispo.
My biggest complaint here is the same as with many movies with a hero. Instead of letting the hero flex and show us why they are who they, filmmakers routinely think it makes good dramatic sense for the hero everyone came to see get their ass beat for the bulk of of the film until some stroke of (fill in the blank) turns the tide and allows the hero to avoid what seemed like certain defeat. Wash rinse repeat here. Sometime it's really great to get to cheer for the hero cause they do hero things. Superman almost seems mortal in this, during a play calling strategy his super speed should easily overcome . Anyway,I want to see Superman be Superman for at least some of the film! That's just my opinion though.
Lois sucked. Not one scene where you get the sense she actually likes Superman/Clark. Zeeerow chemistry. None.
Clark has one scene in the whole movie where he is actually in that character. Jimmy Olsen was awesome. Perry White largely irrelevant.
Krypto way overused. Towards the end he was a tiring insertion when he appeared. 50% less and he'd be a great addition.
Some scenes were just long and added nothing apart from showing off what ILM can do these days. Too much blur and in tight camera to always make sense of the action. Another common practice these days.
Have tickets to go again Tuesday with a buddy but not keen on going again.
