They main gripe I've had with this book was it's characters, especially Rufus(I think that's his
name). They way that Rufus's pov is portrayed is his dialogue and it's terrible. Everytime I read his pov I need to shut my eyes because of the terrible dialogue that is in front of me. His mannerisms sound like it's a child writing this. I also found that the two characters love interest was pretty weak, but with that being said. Mateo's point of view is what kept me reading for the 6hr drive and what ultimately had me finish when I got home. He's a person which can be found very relatable and pretty ordinary which isn't always a bad thing
