If I had to watch the show without a fast forward option, I wouldn't watch it at all. The hype, audience prompting, and gimmicks repeat season after season. It would be nice to see performances without all the filler.

Brokenwood is a great piece of entertainment. It has all the qualities that appeal to my husband and me. No dark or brutal scenes, many varied and interesting characters, many funny moments, and decent plots. We're both sad that season 11 will be the last. We are both in our 70s so we can re-watch episodes and still catch things we missed the first time around. Thanks to the writers and the entire cast for the many hours of entertainment we have been privileged to view.

This series is fabulous in every way. The acting across the board was genuine and believable. Uzo Aduba, who played Detective Cupp, was perfection. The series gave an indepth portrayal (if not totally accurate) of the vast and complicated life in the White House. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
