Pros:
Entertaining and fun.
Good fan service.
Suits of Deadpool and especially Woolverine are great.
The banter and chemistry on set between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is great.
Fight scenes did well and it was explicit enough
Villain was played well.
Cons:
Good start however was slow in the middle.
The story/writting was poor.
The story does not setup the characters well and does not have a great payoff at the end, which is a pity because they had a great opportunity to have a great ending.
The motivations for Deadpool and Wolverine were pooorly constructed.
Worst part of this film was bring back the TVA. The TVA is pathetic and it ruins the MCU and it ruins all the characters in this film especially the protagonists. The TVA focus is stupid and isolates this film and also ties it up to the nonsense from MCU for the past 10 years. What a missed opportunity to reboot the MCU and all they did is refocus the TVA and this ends the TVA and all the superheros in the future.
Overall a 7/10. Sadly if the writting was better and better pay offs this would have been a 9/10. Nevertheless it stands as a good film and needed in today’s nonsense of films we get.
It should do well and at least $1B however it falls short because Deadpool holds back and despite the wise cracks against Disney, it paints Disney in a positive light and frankly that is a shame because Disney is in real trouble after this film, with all the future releases.
Final analysis: An isolated success that is short of being great!
