If you are a first time reader of any of the Amish series you are in for a big treat. His narrative is impeccable, so much so, that even a prejudiced mind can applaud his work. I recently read the “Ravan:The enemy of Aryavarta” book and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.A character that I have only known to have been ruthless and heartless, has suddenly gained a soft corner in my heart. A good story makes the reader imagine the character but a great one makes the reader become the character and this story was certainly a great one. There where many things to like in this wonderful fiction but the huge selling point for me was Amish sir’s genius to jack up the emotions and to give a extremely flawed character like Raavan, his chance to redeem himself.Because of this, the death of his loved one becomes personal to the readers and for a moment his brutal behaviour almost becomes justified.Another thing to look forward in this book is the brotherly love Raavan has for Kumbhakarna and vice versa. All the three books converge at the cusp of the Ramayan tale, the climax..The kidnapping of Lady Sita and having gained the perspective of a villain will surely be an asset for you to read the “War of Lanka”
