Delirium is a great book and you guys should definitely check it out but there some things that were a little confusing. First, the book was very slow, I felt like I had to read a lot of unnecessary information, it goes on the explain. Every. Single. Thing. I wish I didn’t need to read all that excess information. Second, I really love Lauren Oliver’s writing but I just had to point this out. At the beginning of the book Lena says that the government uses listening devices to make sure no one is talking about love and such, but Lena on the way to the evaluators says that she loves children. She also says the word love once or twice before. If she can say the word then why was she so afraid to say that she loved the night sky to the evaluators? It was just a bit confusing to me. Third, the characters, I felt Lena to be a little annoying sometimes, she is always stressing the fact that she doesn’t want to love and not become like her mother what not and I over all found that a bit annoying. Alex was a well thought out character and I felt that Oliver really did a good job on him.
