This is a brilliant film. Some parts are definitely hard to watch - but it is not prurient as has been described. This is a group of underprivileged french ghetto girls. They are just kids finding out who they are, having fun, and wanting affirmation and attention. The lead character is thrown in the middle of this group. She is going through a challenging personal time in her family. Her father use taking a second wife and she sees her mother as a defeated woman.. The girl craves attention and wants to belong to a group of friends. She does everything to gain their attention and acceptance. Without guidance the group of girls innocently steps over the line and create a dance routine that is far too adult. All they are doing is copying that they see online. There is no grooming going on, but the film shows the dangers of letting children access internet content without guidance. Throughout and despite everything, they are incident children. The film shows this well.
