Everyone has this movie at 4/5 stars. There are no complaints, and that is rare for a movie. I can see why. There is over the top action, great actors John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and John Candy. Unforgettable legend singers, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin. The screenwriters did a fantastic job putting the plot together Dan Aykroyd & John Landis.

There was a lot of insight into who the real Elvis was in the book and the movie. I liked them both. Nobody knew Elvis as much as Priscilla did. What people don't know is that entertainers have a persona. You don't know who they really are unless you live with them. It's interesting that Elvis never wrote any of his songs. That Priscilla was a child when she met Elvis, and I think the movie portrayed her well. She was actually targeted by more than one adult in her book.

I never lived during that time, but this movie depicts that era of profound ignorance. You can still see pockets of intense racism in the US, but it's better than it was. I'm happy to be living in this time to watch movies like "The Butler," which portrays the oppression and the revolution and shows how things are much better now than they were before.

What jumped out at me was that Courtney Love's behavior in private seems to be different from how she appeared in her interview with Barbara Walters following Kurt Cobain's death. At that time she looked emotional, however with these recorded tapes she's not a grieving widow. Moreover, the fact that Kurt Cobain wanted to remove Courtney Love from his will just a month before his passing is quite significant. I think the case should be reopened for further investigation

Five stars, for not only was this movie directed and written by women, but most of the cast members were female, and when JLO says, "The whole country is a strip club. You have people tossing money and people doing the dance." 1:41:53 This is so very true.

The movie was too long and didn't show a positive side to Oppenheimer. I kept getting lost throughout. Better dialogue and believable characters could have also improved the experience.

The actors were great. I'm not sure why it didn't do good at the box office. I guess it's unrealistic for two people from different cultures to elope.
