This movie was so terrible that it pains me to give it a full one-star rating. I love film, I love art, and I grew up a DC fan. So imagine how bad this film has to be for me to legitimately be angry afterwards. This is by far and away the worst film that I've ever seen. It was very difficult to sit through it. There is absolutely no part of this film that I can highlight as a positive aspect. I never even thought to request a refund after seeing a film, but I was angry that they got money out of me for this. I'm so exhausted with the overwhelming disappointment that always ends up happening with every attempt at translating DC material into film, excluding Zach Snyder's work. And that's saying something.
Listen to me, everyone. You will hate this film. It's not only terrible; there's nothing likeable about it.
It feels as if the director and lead actor steadfastly didn't want to make a sequel, but the studio forced them to since the first film made so much money and had such critical praise. So, being forced into it, the director and lead actor conspired to go overboard and out of their way to create the absolute worst possible scenario for a sequel possible and end it in such a way that there will positively be no appetite nor a possible avenue for a third installment.
Please, I'm begging you: Do not go see this film. I don't want them to make any more money after stealing mine.
