I am not a huge fan of Kannada movies since the passing away of legends like Raj kumar or Narasimha raju as there haven't been many good movies made. I was told that this was movie was our answer to Bollywood and Hollywood! All i can say is that my resolve to not watch Kannada movies has become stronger. I wish Bollywood would stop pushing its money into south indian movies with the same branding and approach to every movie being made. I also Wish I could get 3 hours of my life back..mindless non stop gory violence is all I can recall. Walked out with a headache and a decision to not watch the second part. Why do we need a part 2 of a movie that has no complexity in story line at all? Movie is basically agneepath dabang remade with more violence, badly lit scenes with an attempt to have the effect of bahubali style narration and showcasing history of KGF with depressing false storyline and showcasing indian religions as being gory! There are only 2 types of acting in the movie either you are violent and hence have a constipated look or you are scared because you are going to be killed soon. Slavery scenes were dragged on far too long. Love story is so unbelievably stupid that one cannot even pay any attention to the other related characters involved. Too many plot holes to write here. Constant narration by ananthnag was a constant distraction and would not let me interpret the story and I guess they did because one cannot follow the story or acting without being guided by a voice! Showing indian religious practices as violent was another false narrative being created. KGF history could have been showcased with the true history of British rule and indian past but is just another hackneyed badly directed bollywood funded movie in the guise of Kannada movie.
