When I was younger, my grandpa gave me a Game Boy Color and a few games for my birthday. Link's Awakening DX was one of them. After I got tired of playing Super Mario Land, I finally popped this game in, played it and loved it. It was my first of many Zelda games. Years later, the battery in it died, and I lost my progress at the 7th dungeon. I was heartbroken. Then I got the Switch version on loan from my cousins, and lemme tell you, this was AMAZING!
Having the sword, shield, boots, and power bracelet mapped to dedicated buttons with X and Y for other items is a real time-saver, so no more going to the item screen and swapping the Roc's Feather and power bracelet for your sword and shield every 30 seconds! I love the new remixes for the musics, especially the dungeon musics, although I would've liked an option to switch to the original soundtrack.
Even though I didn't buy it, I feel like a $60 price tag is too much for a game that probably only cost $10 or so, (my grandfather got my Game Boy and the games from a pawn shop, so I don't know the actual price,) but it's an amazing experience nonetheless.
TL;DR, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for Switch is a huge upgrade from the original.
