We took our 8 year old son to watch this and we all really enjoyed it. Great film for kids if they can tolerate a few jumps and very scary dinosaurs! The plot is formulaic and fairly predictable, but as its only 92 mins long its not dragged out, and is fast paced and full of Hollywood confected suspense. It has tender moments too, with the relationships between father and daughter, and the two protagonists trapped on Earth, giving some emotional dimension. I really think the poor reviews are unfair, and if you want a film for pure entertainment value, go and see this. I don't think you will be disapointed.
