Marie Antoinette, her children and the Place de La Concorde, exponentially set the mood of this epic film. Scott did his best to describe decades of history in only 2 hours and 38 minutes,4 hour director’s cut coming out soon. The intensity of the war scenes and the sadness of the coming doom are well developed. Grapeshot properly executed. Marie Louise’s reaction is inappropriate considering she was raised to hate the French and Marie Antoinette was her Great Aunt. Hopefully this expression of the French Enlightenment will be absorbed and appropriated by our generation.
