A sobering, at times literally, look into the fate of bluecollar workers and displaced people from all walks of life set in a place that both is and very much is not Kentucky. Each chapter drives the focus more towards the new characters you run into in your travels while the interludes between each one set the context for what lies ahead. It is an ethereal yet strangely grounded game. I felt like I was always somewhere while being nowhere at all.
You'll love this if you like laid-back games with mysteries and the supernatural but that aren't actually scary in the horror sense.
The whole game is nebulous and open to interpretation but still provides answers to most of the questions it poses.
If dialogue choices shaping the outcome of a game are something you value, you won't find that here. KRZ uses dialogue to set the tone rather than the conclusion. But tone is everything in this game.
