One of the best games BUT lacks a few BIG THINGS. Pros: the story is pretty rich and Silens’ voice actor is one of my fav actors. Gameplay is top tier. Cons: really lacks in hand to hand combat. There aren’t any counters and blocks provided. I can beat Spider Man on the hardest combat with limited upgrades due to having great ways to evade combat and the last second evasive senses to avoid hits. However, Horizon requires you to upgrade weapons and skills constantly in order to beat it in its normal combat. And there aren’t any counters or blocks. And the micro upgrades (increase critical hit by 10%) is anticlimactic to me. And I dislike that I can’t load up on traps (only two at a time now) and the change the buttons around from being a bit less intuitive compared to other 1 player games. Overall, I would love for the game to invest more in hand to hand combat. And I hope they perform some more user testing and user research before the next launch.
