I love Green Day. They are my all time favorite band no questions asked. But this album was just kind of ‘eh’ to me. After the disappointment of the trilogy and then how good revolution radio was, I was expecting good things from this album. But it just kind of, fell short. I love albums like dookie because it has longer, more memorable songs like Longview, but it also has shorter underrated songs that get you pumped up. But with Father of All, it’s like your getting pumped up, and then halfway threw the album it starts to take away that energy, and leads you too nothing. I’m fine with change in styles, if a bang stays the same, it will keep its fan based but never get a new one. It’s not the change, but the songs just don’t fit together well and it leads no where. The sing are okay in themselves, but together just fall apart. Overall, it’s pretty mediocre. And too those who say “People who rate it badly can’t take change,” your just flat out wrong. They don’t like it because it happened so suddenly, and they didn’t pull it off well. Those who actually can’t handle change shouldn’t be shamed either. Some people such as people on the spectrum like ti have a normal area and schedule. I know this because my brother is in the spectrum and I know others who are too and they all say they like too keep to a schedule and nit have bug, sudden changes. So saying people can’t handle change can be offensive because you don’t know why they can’t handle the change. Also, blaming ‘not being able to accept change,” because of somebody has a different opinion, is just wrong. Like you can like a certain genre and nit another. It’s okay too have a different opinion. Okay this turned into a rant on people blaming things on why people don’t like the album oh god
