I don't think I've ever been so disappointed by a series I started watching. I don't understand how this has so many positive reviews, but I guess everyone has different tastes. I thought I was going to find it very interesting, but I couldn't even make it through the first episode. It's presented in a very strange way that makes it hard to follow in my opinion. I was expecting a straightforward dramatization of Mussolini's rise to power because I am curious about the history. But to me this is overly theatrical, with Mussolini constantly making asides to the camera. It's very stylized and feels unnatural and just generally difficult to get into.

I watched the first and then five minutes of the second episode of this and I just googled the reviews and I see 2.5 average rating. The low rating restores my faith in humanity. This show is garbage. Hope it gets canceled soon.

Great Halloween movie for anyone who doesn't want to be grossed out by disgusting, disturbing horror content. A lot of the haters just have no sense of humor and are taking the film too seriously. It's campy. It's also cute, funny, and entertaining. Fantastic, unforgettable musical number scene with Bette Midler.

*Spoiler alert* I have never read the novel and maybe there is much more to the novel that I am not aware of. But the movie to me was about an incredibly spoiled brat of a woman. I so wanted Gabriel to tell her to get lost in the last scene.
