The original is soooo much better. This film did do a good job of showing woman’s rights and This interpretation was good but they added things that weren’t necessary (spoilers if you read more ) the sorcerer was really not necessary and should have just been a bird like in the original story. The next thing I thought that should have been added is more of the music from the original background track from mulan animated. I know this isn’t a musical but they could have get some more of the original music in the film.Another thing I thought that should have changed is the Phoenix. In the original it was a super funny dragon who made the story more fun and could have been a grate sidekick in the live action but in the new mulan they decided to throw the character away and replace it with a Phoenix which is in about 3 scenes and holds the importance about the family but so did the dragon. My thoughts also on character development is mulan should have realized her chi when she was in training in combat instead of when she was young. It would have shown that she grew as a character.also another character that was thrown away was the prince. Instead of her falling in love with the prince she fell in love with a minor character r that we really didn’t know a whole lot about, I can’t even remember his name Now I’m not saying this is a terrible film,the way the culture was shown was amazing and truley cool to watch, all I’m saying is the original cartoon/animated film is better then the live action
