O dear the guys at Hereford must hate this stuff. So overdone - so unrealistic but I guess it appeals to young men who don’t know better. I found the first episode of series 2 very disappointing.

This much hyped film is certainly entertaining, but the dialogue is poor and the diction is lousy. The continuity is questionable as one minute the action is in Rome and the next sequence is on a gondola in Venice. The opening sequence aboard a Russian submarine was lively but none in my party had a clue what was going on. It was like a James Bond for the 21st century - full of gadgets and technology, but short on the fine scripting of the Bond films.

This series is really cringeworthy - the SAS in Hereford must be hating every minute. The drama is overacted - unreal and can only appeal to those who know little or nothing about the real story and actual heroes. In my 20 years in the army officers do not actually need to shout at their men - except on rare occasions. I am particularly sorry that Paddy Mayne, who was a great and heroic man, comes across as a social misfit. SAS Rogue Heroes is utter rubbish.
