This album is an absolute dumpster fire of empty, boring, seriously eye-roll inducing lyrics and songs with no hook and no meat. The vocals are weak, and the incessant clapping beats in most every song induce a vomit reflex. And I've been totally fine with all of their other releases, so no, this isn't about "Oh no I can't handle change." They've evolved their sound since the beginning, and I've been listening to them since 1992 and have remained a fan up until this sonic nightmare. Cash crab, pure and simple. No substance or soul. I'm not asking for giant philosophical rock operas here. Lyrically, the bar is low. Songs about girls you can't have and not having the courage to speak up or masturbating or who even knows what, just something more expressively sung... iUno! was a much stronger album, and that was about as simple as it gets.
