It was a gripping drama, but what is the lesson, that abusing people makes them better ultimately. It may achieve to bolster people of like mind. Life has its own teachers, no need to mentally of physically abuse people for those people to reach greatness.
Also it is historically inaccurate, not like this is a piece based on real events.
