Excellent police procedural, set in an Australian tourist backwater with so many plot curve balls it demands your full attention. The main characters are two absurdly different victims of tragic circumstances who become partners investigating crimes as PIs while held back by their embattled reputations. Besides the skeezy locals in their cross hairs, the odd couple of 29-something Amanda Harrell (Nicole Chamoun) and middle-aged ex-cop Ted Conkaffey (Thomas Jane) must learn to harness together their wildly different personalities to beat local cops to the punch. Bonus points for this highly original detective/thriller plus all the crocs, deadly snakes an Ausralophobe can stand. And not a single whiff of didgeridoo! So far!
