I could not have been more disappointed in this film. It was cartoonish from begin to end. I so wanted to learn about this extraordinary story and instead got a Disney version equipped with an obligatory dance scene and a dead person coming back as a ghost. Not sure who this film was directed towards, 10 year olds? Completely unsophisticated. Susan Sarandon made a complete fool of herself. The women highlighted were caricatures (ie: the preachers daughter, the wise cracking farm girl). So terrible. Such a disservice to these remarkable women and their remarkable accomplishment. Will look for any documentaries on this subject. Don’t waste your time.
