The part where she ate her lip into succession of hearing her friend wanting to come over was craaaaazayyy! movie was straight cringe I found myself laughing at the horrible acting more than anything else. 👏🏼😂

I wasn’t over the moon about this film due to the amount of sensitive subject it carries, but there’s plenty of good messages and awareness. I think there was a lot of talk aside from phedophilia, but rather familial incest which I think can have heavy contribution to attributed trauma as you age if not properly tended to. The matter is sensitive and quick for stereotypes and judgement but is also something so many people end up dealing with whether from a parent or sibling. The film did well in opening up on more of the misery surrounding these aspects of life and its cruelty. Kevin did well with this film aside from how hard it may have been to pursue the role.

I actually seriously adored this movie start to end. I did feel that the female character was playing hard to get a little too forcefully at times though. They did a really good job at adding a comical side to it while also expressing the sensitive sides of life in an appropriate manner when they needed to be discussed throughout the film. I think that’s creative and truly beautiful. As far as the bond between the two main characters, I’d say it was pretty decent and that he definitely has a way of charming her over for sure. I was almost honestly terrified of the ending of this movie because obviously we’re getting to a point where he’s about to walk away from her after she keeps time and time again denying him. Then the way the ending suddenly popped out was truly a surprise, and made me like it even more, even after I tried skipping through some of the end because I genuinely thought I was gonna be let down. Also I love that miss girl got the courage to leave her abuser, and the way they showed it by the end. I liked that entire dynamic and slight bond both woman shared regarding that sensitive subject. Great film aside all, wish one or two of the characters were a bit more likable.

This movie is the complete definition of a “tear jerker.” I welled up in my eyes at least five different times throughout the film, and finally at the end had to actually just let some of the tears slip. There’s so much that I could get into regarding homelessness and it’s origin for why a lot of it even begins in the first place, but the dynamic I must say between father and daughter in this film..fucking phenomenal, realistic, raw, unfair, and so much more than just a “movie” in my very serious opinion. The daughter within this film felt the persistence of her potential consistently kicking in, but feeling the empjathy of all that her homeless father has and may continue to keep losing, and has even condoned her to feel a great sense of loss for herself as well. Despite the in and out states of psychosis the father felt, they did well in expressing in a more creative manner how he still had those bouts of understanding, and empathy toward what he knew his daughter wanted, but ultimately really needed in the end. Lordy I hope he continues to be okay in that tent in the afterlife of that film. 10/10 please try if you enjoy emotional dramas!🩷

I feel this film did well in expressing realism to the ways that love can really be that complicated sometimes. What I didn’t love is the lack of obvious common sense that a few of these characters played in the film. As soon as that woman said that man was married, but still felt she had a chance with it I would’ve automatically been like..fling or nothin at this point cause clearly there’s no same page. I think his character did wonderful of portraying some of the more detrimental effects that can be felt after losing love, or feeling hopeless in it. By the ending, I realized the film was alright but nothing extravagant, just a decent amount of characters where..had they smartened up throughout the film a lot sooner I think there could’ve been a way more satisfying ending.

Could have cried at least 30 different times throughout this film. It gives so much power to a lot of todays current social environment, actually just the way of life in general. It’s so beautiful, please give this a shot, and stay aware to hidden messages..because damn that shit was deep. 💜👏🏼🥹 Actors were absolutely top notch.

Great watch, and in my opinion did very well in being educational in a sense to how the Panther Movement was in function to a sense. The characters were fantastic within the role that each and every one shared. I adore Kerry Washington with all my heart!❤️😍

I’d totally have given it a five stars but a lot of that ending threw me off in the worst way. Maybe for the idea of protection upon himself but I felt the ending was quite the switch up that I felt was just utterly in disconnect with the rest of the flow within the film…which I though was actually going to have the chance at a positive ending. I saw him run to her after he threw the guy off her..and was honestly just a bit shocked that at this point he hadn’t already analyzed the reality behind the unrealistic values that align between how he’s living and making his choices compared to how she has. And actually I think that was actually expressed a few other times in small mannerisms by her throughout the whole movie. Aside the ending, the movie truly expressed such raw and realistic emotion within its characters. There was grief, but great recognition to express that higher view of one’s self in a way that can help the probability of positive self-reinforcement, even after one’s endured trauma. I loved Tahir and his Character throughout the film, and as someone who currently takes a class for multicultural practice, this film did great at expressing more of the vulnerable aspects to how one’s life can alter especially within the immigration system. I will say I do disagree with the way they chose to expose this character of his past, definetly a surprise and not how I felt he deserved to be untimely represented in a sense by the end of the film. Their fight for one another is love and mess all in one, but it was a beautiful watch aside all.
