Some of these comments need to go and read Hanna Goslars book and then this movie will make more sense to them. Some of these scenes WERE MADE UP. In Hanna’s book she doesn’t give her ring to Anne. She gives it to a soldier in exchange for food for her and Gabi. She didn’t decline to go because of Anne, they got taken off the list because her father passed. This movie WAS a hard watch because the storyline could’ve been explained better. Details could’ve been given, BUT if you actually know Hanna’s side you can see what the director was trying to achieve. P.S it is pronounced Anna.
