I wouldn’t leave a star if there was an option not to Genuinely one of the worst videogames I’ve ever played. Ignore all the hype and all the good reviews if you want honest feedback, because they’re lying to you. I’ve got close to 60 hours in PS5 Nightreign and I cannot bear to suffer another second. If you happen to have a network error mid-game and try to log back in, you will notice half of the runes (that are comically deflated in value) will be gone with no way of recovery. And this is no bug, this is the developers showing you where to stick your controller. Ive played and enjoyed every Soulsborne title to date… except this one… ITS TRASH. This one is a jumbled money grab of a game; rushed and sloppy. Between lackluster storytelling, an exhaustive, repetitive gameplay loop filled with recycled assets, and not much new content, new and returning players alike will feel annoyed to no end. Call it a skill issue but I’ve beaten every Everdark Nightlord. It’s just not a good game.
