I thank Tyler Perry for this movie. I’m a white, 65 year old woman who taught US history and had never heard of this story. Truthful of behavior toward women and African-Americans, it is a good story for our youth to see. I wish we were further along than the 1940’s, but it brings light to behavior that still exists.
