Lukia The Dino

I didn’t know what kind of movie this was going to be about other than it was generally themed around Grand Turismo and man it was more than I was expecting. I was so excited when I saw the GTR’s all racing. The main characters were training in them and I happened to be wearing my Nissan Skyline shirt with the R32-R35 generations on it and it just felt like this movie was for me. It made me really miss my R32 Skyline gtst so bad. I laughed and I cried because I’m generally emotional but also because there are so many points in the movie where only “Car People” would understand and it shows how people who don’t get why we are so crazy about them kinda just shrugging us off or thinking it’s silly or just plain out dangerous. I loved how they incorporated the real life main character next to the actor for the movie that it’s based on and it just put a huge smile on my face. I don't want to spoil anything but I experience bad panic attacks and anxiety and it really hit home at some points in the movie where the main character was having mental challenges and it depicts the dissociation that people like me have without being all up in your face about it, so that’s another reason I feel so strongly about the movie. Idk why the reviews from rotten tomatoes are so low but the viewer ratings are all 5 stars and I’m glad I’m not the only one who enjoyed such an awesome little movie about silly little nyooom machines.
