It’s NOT a comedy, and it never really gels. There’s no real sexual chemistry between the two leads. Merritt Wever is very good, but there’s more heat between her and the handsome man that comes out of the train restroom than at any other time. It becomes oddly quirky towards the end. A real crime occurs without much consequence. It just felt...lazy. Like it only made its way to a screen because Phoebe Waller-Bridge was involved.
