I am quite surprised of all the 5 star reviews this film is getting. I expected a lot more from this film & I do not understand why people are calling this a masterpiece.
The propaganda that was advertised made me feel so excited all to be let down and £7 gone to waste. The acting was like watching random people being starred in a film after 2 lessons of acting classes. This excludes Nicolas Cage’s portrayal of Longlegs(which by the way they barely showed much of him & his character’s backstory.)
I must say Nicolas Cage’s acting in this was the only good thing out of this film - hence the 1 star.
The background of it all was very vague, I felt like I was watching the characters do three things throughout the film - drive cars, sit in empty rooms & have awkward conversations all the while looking very constipated & confused.
The plot & ending was bad but not terrible. It certainly leaves you feeling like you have a lot of unanswered questions.
