Great show! Yea it's not exact to the books but the books are unfinished tales and apendices so there isn't much of a full story to tell which is why Amazon have decided to introduce new characters and plots. Ignore all the hardcore Tolkien fans. They can't be that hardcore if they can't understand that there's not much Amazon can do to take stories from unfinished content.
