Utterly depressing film. I couldn't tell what year it was depicting. The buses and vehicles looked 80's and he did say he was in the war as a 15 year old. It was all virtual signalling and so woke. It seemed to jump to 2022 and a Ukrainian jolly party with plenty of Blue and Yellow flags. All good honest people whereas the white males were racist or ageist thugs. Even the bus driver and landlady were nasty. I could not warm to Timothy Spall's character Tom. Spall is only 67 but looked an 87 year old dodderer. Scenery and town scenes were few and far between and not that representative of his epic journey. I fast forwarded a lot of the woke scenes. Was surprised they didn't have a dig at the wicked Tories.
