Gokul Blr – Google

Will rate it 2.5. The concept and plot was good. But lacked a good script. Direction could have been better and climax was the biggest flop of it all. Dileep still need to wait for a comeback. And at some places I felt this is not a script that suits him as an actor. It's a one time watch. The story gives a hint of how the law enforcing agency (police) can turn to be the biggest of criminals. Something what we still see. Reminds the fact that only British has left India but not the police they formed for India. Had the crew done a better home work on the script and direction, or brought in someone better to do it, this would have been a very good movie of recent times.

I will rate 2.5 stars. It's an average movie which has elements from many previous malayalam court room movies. Nothing new / original which is what was my expectation. The evidence tampering was a clear copy from Oru Abhibhashakante Case Diary. And same with the witness cross examinations for movies of 90's. The overall story / concept is okay, but the movie felt too much dragging. Nothing outside the court room and hence felt bored in between. Blind girl making a sculpture just by feeling for 5 mins is a bit hard to digest. But accepting it as "kathayil chodyam illa". Jeethu Joseph could have come with something else which is more convincing. Feels like Mohanlal has lost his charisma and brilliance. Sorry to say it being a huge fan of his old time movies. Just an one time watch movie. Don't go with very high expectations.

Nothing great or new. Story / Idea is good, but the visuals did not meet the expectation. SFX is nothing to be praised considering the whooping budget and comparing to many recent films. The character motions are also not realistic and did not have any emotions. The evil characters looked like skeleton and the vanar sena from planet of Apes or jungle book, jambavan a teddy bear and strange bat characters. And everyone from Lakshman to Raavan are black smiths or that is their hobby. Ashok vana and most of the environment looked like a film set from the 70s and Ravana's palace from some sci-fi movie of 80s. The music is also nothing extra ordinary. Surprised on then for what the 500-600 Cr was spend. The film could have been made far far better. Did not expect from this from maker of Tanhaji.
