If you’ve read the series by Julia Quinn then I wouldn’t recommend this Netflix series. It will only sully the memory. - The script is horrible. There are so many Pride and Prejudice knockoffs in this series it’s annoying. Hey screenwriters, come up with something new. A second rate Pride and Prejudice should not be your goal. - The decision to use modern music was awful. It completely pulls me from what’s happening when I’m thinking “Wait! Is that Taylor Swift?” - I found there to be 0 chemistry between the lead characters. And to be honest, I was uncomfortable with watching a girl who looks to be 15 engaging in explicit sex scenes. - Which brings me to my biggest complaint, too much sex! Yes, the book had sex scenes but not a freaking dozen of them! This could’ve been a great series. Instead it’s nothing but an uncomfortable disappointment.
