Very boring. 80 pages of geometric details to begin with, secret hideaway on small island with four families all with similar family names, no clear or interesting story line, goes back to Russia knowing he will be killed- why?
I only read this book because a member of my book club chose it! It required considerable discipline to finish it.
I do wonder sometimes if the ' posh literati' praise these kind of books because they feel that they ought to!!
