I’m genuinely baffled by the 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Sharp Corner was painfully slow, with a plot that dragged from scene to scene without any real momentum. The pacing felt more like a drawn-out TV pilot than a feature film. For a movie supposedly packed with suspense, there was almost none to be found—just long, brooding silences and underdeveloped characters.
It’s one of those films that seems to think it’s smarter and deeper than it actually is. Whatever mystery it tried to build got buried under sluggish dialogue and tedious pacing. I kept waiting for a payoff that never came.
Save your time. The critics may have seen something I didn’t, but for me, this was a frustrating watch that didn’t live up to the hype.
