Having lived in various parts of the west country most of my longish life and my wife all of her life. we found the film ridiculous. The book firstly seemed to have been written by two people. The film had lots of parts in it which were not in the book. Also, In the scenes one minute they were in Somerset, then in Devon, then back to Somerset then down to Cornwall then back to particularly the Valley of the Rocks Somerset etc etc. Two works of probably total fiction and as we discussed with several people coming out of the cinema at the start of the South West Coast path (Minehead), total rubbish. OK if you have no knowledge of the area and take it all with A BIG PINCH OF SALT (PATH)!!
