Except for bawling when the octopus was dying and then was carried off by the shark, it was a beautiful film. Love the beauty of the under water forest and all of the beautiful shots. Liked the father and son moments a lot. I thought it was so sweet how the octopus seemed to have genuine affection.

Some movies grip you early on and keep you on the edge of your seat, and that is always a great thing, but some movies you just have to sit and hang on and enjoy the ride, because it may even seem slow sometimes in this movie but as you get to know the characters more and more, and what they are struggling through, and how it proceeds to the end you end up walking away really loving this movie. There is not one thing Melissa McCarthy can do wrong in my eyes. I adore her! Kevin Kline is just always entertaining to watch. Chris O’Dowd, who I loved in the Bridesmaids movie, gave exceptional emotional scenes that had me in tears! I watched this movie with my sister and I think she was a bit bored by it, bit I truly did love the movie and even the brief quick funny ending was hilarious. This movie has sadness, struggles, interjected with humor though in certain spots. Worth watching!
