*spoilers* i was quite disappointed if i’m 100% honest, just felt like batman v superman which is exactly what i didn’t want the movie to be like. i personally felt that they rushed the whole idea of mechagodzilla and it just felt like they wanted to add something the fans would love (which isn’t a bad thing) but didn’t plan it properly. i felt at times the size of these “titans” was a bit off, there was scenes where kong looked honestly quite small but when he’s near godzilla you can see he’s around the same height i also thought godzilla was underwhelming, wasn’t like the badass we’re used to. easiest way to describe godzilla is by saying it was like watching a good boxer who isn’t in their prime anymore. i feel like they just touched on certain topics, they would bring something up (or find something out) talk about it for a minute and then never bring it up again i get this is a big “monster movie” and it’s more about the action, and a lot of these flaws are problems of my own because i got my expectations too high. as a monster movie it was good, not as good as King of the monsters, but still a very solid movie.
