The film seems to have no real heart or convincing relationships. This seems clearly the fault of a director who apparently does not really know how to show whatever meager relationships exist in the script. Hustlers is an endless black hole of T&A, floating around as body parts instead real people. There's no acting that solicits empathy. The actors seem to have been left by themselves to fend for themselves to do the story-telling, frequently looking as if the director left the set, unable to euchre believable relationships from low-energy actors. The cinematography is high-school first-year project film course level.
I spent more time looking at my watch to see how soon it would end. Not soon enough.
