This gave me something to think on for a good, long time and maybe even forever. It explores how people think and draw conclusions and get lost in their own dangerous sel-righteousness.
On another level the play explores artists’ work and how we enjoy it, especially books and from perspectives of being young. Does what an author writes well after they’ve had beloved works published, erase the original love of a story?
The performances from all of the cast were strong and ever-present. Of course Dahl’s character looms large, but none of the other characters are overshadowed.
It was a brilliant evening of live theater with content I don’t think could be conveyed any other way. Bravo!
