We need more films like this one directed by Clark Johnson about ordinary people who happen not to be white living ordinary lives - laughing, crying, loving. People in small towns embracing the differences between each other with genuine affection. Alfre Woodard and Adam Beach are believable as two wounded people who help each other heal.
