Heads up: IT IS A COMEDY. An actual C O M E D Y, not a tragi-comedy, or a gory-comedy. If you're looking to feel terrible and feel traumatized then go watch The Great. My Lady Jane is some of the best writing and acting I've seen in a longggg time. Finally women who are multi-dimensional characters and not placed in some stupid trope box. Speaking of tropes, every single one of the tropes used in this show was done fantastically well and left me salivating for more. The ending was perfection. SEASON 2 PLEASE! This show is feel-good, hilarious, and of higher moral standards than most garbage put out these days and I need more. Oh, and if you have a problem with a black man playing the king because it "isn't historically accurate", then the part where people turn into animals is probably going to bug you. Oh, and the part where Lady Jane lives, cause ya-know, it's "not accurate". Have a glass of something strong, have a laugh, and you'll forget he's not white. He's literally just the best actor for the part and happens to be black. Reading these racist comments has me sad for humanity.

I do believe you have to be in the right frame of mind to watch this. I found it hilarious. As someone who's experienced similar levels of paranoia when smoking pot as a teenager I found it particularly funny. Honestly great script, great lighting, great acting. But again, you have to be in the mood.
