First heard about this book in the Billy Joel song "we didn't start the fire" so I thought I should read it. Big mistake. Why, oh why do whoever make this book to be read in schools? Should kids be exposed to the foul language and sex in this droning and going nowhere book? They grow up soon enough without forcing them to endure it. A total waste of paper and ink. Sadly, I have to give a star rating, even though it ought to be minus! Still I suppose Salinger was laughing all the way to the bank.
