Thank you, The Resident, for highlighting Hospice as the wonderful program that it truly is! NOT ONLY FOR THE FINAL DAYS! I learned way too late what wonderful services they can provide way before the final days. My father was already gone and my mother was only days away from being gone. Just about a year ago, someone told me what a wonderful, grossly under used benefit Hospice is. I called them and they moved very quickly to come in, assess my mom's needs, also assess the families needs, and get her set up with everything she needed. They were extremely compassionate in her care. Unfortunately, mom only got to use their services for about 3 days. I so wish that we had learned about them so much earlier. They could have given her much more quality of life a lot longer. I believe they also could have help my father also have more quality of life before he passed. So now I have been on a mission to share with anyone I know/ meet about the wonder of Hospice before it is the end. I don't know how far the show is going to take this Hospice care story line, but I hope they shine a light on all of its wonders! They were such a blessing to the whole family even after our loved was gone. God bless all Hospice workers for sharing your compassion and your calling. Thank you!
