Genndy Tartaknarsky is just at a different level than almost any animator working in television today, and it's not necessarily even close. This dude went from Dexter's Laboratory to Powerpuff Girls then made what looks like three straight classic series with Samurai Jack, Primal and now Unicorn. What's most impressive to me is with these series none of them is remotely like the other, even including the animation style. He's the best at catching the era in each story as well, with technological Japan with Jack, prehistoric with Primal and what appears to be the steamboat era with Unicorn. And makes sure the appropriate weirdness applies to each series as well. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season holds for our heroes, so far Unicorn Eternal Warriors looks like the best animated series so far this year just as Primal was when it debuted .
