This is possibly THE worst movie I have ever seen. Spoilers ahead. The lack of storyline and character development did nothing but give me an undesirable urge to write this review and donate my eyes to a transplant organization. The unnecessary CGI and infinite plot holes make me question how this movie was ever allowed to be released in cinema. I understand Jason Statham got paid a lot to star in the film, but the things they made him say is just an insult to his acting career. "See ya later, chum."
I wasn't even sure what the story was about, because there was simply no story line to understand. My eyes were bleeding watching Jason Statham outrun a giant shark on a jet ski and managing to kill it with a metal pole. At one point, as the shark was coming towards him, the shark dove from above and he held out a 6-foot metal pole and penetrated the shark's head, holding the entire weight of a megalodon, which is 50,000 kilograms, or 50 tons.
The only reason it was entertaining was I found joy from laughing at the lack of effort put into the script writing and how an giant octopus came out of nowhere with no explanation into the movie and started attacking random people.
